It's Wednesday the 14th of November and I'm finally able sit down for a few minutes and able to write about our Halloween. We went to John and Ellen's 2nd annual Halloween party. This was Bryan and I's second halloween together, we like to say that their halloween party is where we met and I know that is where I fell in love with Bryan. (Too mushy I know)
This year we went as Batgirl and the Joker. I made my costume this year. It was the first time that I have ever had a fully homemade costume. I made a black and yellow tutu and painted the bat girl symbol on to my shirt. Ellen was Belle from Beauty and the Beast and John was a taco. Ellen actually dyed her wedding dress yellow for her costume. It looked great and still can't believe she did it but she said it was totally worth it.
Bryan and I had a blast, watching the UGA vs FL game, making "witches brew", and eating killer Mexican food at el rio. I can not wait until Ellen and Johns 3rd annual halloween party next year and the next year Bryan and I get to spend together!

Weekend up-date part deux ... reunited and it feels so good!!!
I am still glowing about the weekend that I had but I do have a little political rant that I would like to say first....
The 5 GSU Girls (Cara, Alex, Kimberly, Laura and Sarah) |
My Mom and I |
This Saturday we played our rival App State. This weekend we usually do our tailgating big for our rivalry game. But this weekend it was VERY special. The 5 original girls were all together again. We have not been together since Christmas last year. Almost a whole year a whole year that has been way to long when all use to see each other a few times a quarter.
Saturday we started the day off right. We had old friends, new friends and family members all join us at our tailgate spot. We got to the tailgating fairly early but we had to because we had a huge meal to cook and of course wanted to pop-top for the big game. We ate low country boil, drank bud light and cheered on the EAGLES!! Southern ended up losing one of the best games I have been to, but win or lose it was great to be with friends and family and enjoy the time together! After the game we went to Sarah and Michael's for dinner, hung out with our tailgate group and watched the Bama vs LSU game which was way to close for comfort also!
All in all it was one of the best weekends I have had in a long time. I love seeing all my Georgia Southern friends and my Mom and Dad at the same time! I cant not wait until next weekend, homecoming at GSU!
Happy Wednesday!

Fall Fun!!
The month of October. One of my favorite months because of all the FUN FALL FESTIVITIES that happen in the area. The past few weekend Bryan and I have been participating in some different fall activities:
Bryan and I drove up to Dawsonville, GA and went to the corn maze and pumpkin patch. We had perfect fall-like weather for the windows and sun roof to be open. Mid 70's low 50's perfect jean and shirtsleeve weather. We took the "back roads" to Uncle Shucks. It was a beautiful drive from Athens. We even took a little detour to Dahlonega to drive up in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains.
Bryan Driving thinking his "Tractors Sexy" |
When we made it to the corn maze we did all three corn mazes on the property. I honestly thought that these mazes were going to be for the kids and really easy to figure out. I was just hoping to spend some time outside with B. But I'm not going to lie, if I didn't have Bryan with me I would still be lost in the first maze. I could not figure out the map for the life of me and got really frustrated. And I am usually good at reading maps in the car or on the boat when we are in a new territory or going off the beaten path. We also took a look at the pumpkin patch but most of the "good" ones were already taken and I wanted more then a baby pumpkin. I was perfectly happy with everything that we did that day and it crossed off many things we wanted to do this fall before it got to cold to us Southerners.
Happy Fall Y'all!

Weekend Update... Thursday and Friday
Good Monday Afternoon!! Sorry that it has been a while from my last post. It has been a really busy the past few weekend. I still have not posted about the Halloween party Bryan and I went to but I guess that will be in a later post. And then to top it all off we took a long weekend to celebrate our one year anniversary of dating.
The weekend started on Halloween which was Wednesday and the day that Bryan and I like to say is our "dating" Anniversary. We kept it low key since we had a big weekend planed for the two of us. Him and I went to dinner and then passed out candy to the kids that live in my neighborhood. While hanging out we watched some TV and packed up for our weekend trip to southeast Georgia.
Thursday when Bryan and I drove down to Statesboro and Savannah where we split up the time with together time and football time. Our first stop was to Statesboro to pick up football tickets for my parents to the GSU vs App State game and we did our damage at the bookstore before it was to busy on game day. After our brief time on campus we went to the Beaver House and had lunch. Best restaurant in Statesboro, GA! It is considered a family style restaurant and they bring all the southern goodness to your table and when you run out of a certain item you can have a second order. OMG, I miss going there on Sundays with the girls or on Wednesdays with Jason and Kyle when we were in college. If you are ever in Statesboro go to the Beaver House!!
Thursday night we stayed in Savannah at the Double Tree (and we had a balcony on the top floor, it was a great view from the top) and Bryan had a night out planned for us. He had made dinner reservation at the Melting Pot for dinner. I had never been there before and it was just down the ways from our Hotel. After a delicious and crazy filling dinner we went to my favorite bar for drinks in Savannah called Rocks on the Roof which is on top of one of the hotels on River Street.
On Friday we woke up and went to brunch at Huey's on River Street and walked around downtown to waste some time before we had to picked up some seafood I had ordered for the weekend and tailgating. We made our way from Savannah back to Statesboro and stopped at camping world to take a look at some pull behind trailers for tailgating and camping int he next few years. We finally checked into hotel number 2 for the remaining days of our vacation and a great football weekend!! Can't wait to tell you all about the awesome Friday and Saturday we had in Statesboro while catching up with old friends and watching football!

Wofford Weekend @ Georgia Southern
The weekend of October 13th was so far the best football weekend yet!!
Kelly came down on Friday night and her and I had a “sleepover”. We went to Mexican, drank margaritas and talked about boys. It was nice to talk to a non-married/child bearing women. We ended up cooking all night also. We baked meatballs, blended together her “famous” salsa, made a caramel apple dessert and the best item yet... CHOCOLATE CHIP and BACON cookies. It was a great “girls night” and exactly what we both needed!!
On Saturday we went down to the game. Tailgated with the GSU group. The cookies were the biggest hit. I think it was more shocking then anything else that there was bacon in them. I was a little disappointed that I was not able to taste as much bacon as I wanted, but it was cool. It was a good treat and something new to try.
It was Military Appreciation weekend at the GSU game. Georgia Southern used a Nike pro-combat" uniform which was blue and white camo. The University also had the Army parachute team "jump" with the game ball. It was one of the coolest thing's I have seen. I have never seen the jumpers that close. I absolutely love what GSU does for military appreciation.
One of the Army jumpers parachuting in with the GSU flag |
The Army parachuter on their way down to the prettiest little stadium! |
GSU getting ready to run onto the field with their "camo" uniforms |
The actually game ended up watched one of the best football games I have seen in a while. The weather was perfect, not to hot but not to chilly for a long-sleeved shirt. It was a little to close for my liking but I guess a win is a win. With this win Georgia Southern is now #1 in our conference and as you can see Ms. Ava is very happy about that and is great for us and play-offs. We have two more big games the next 2 weekends against Furman and App State. Then our fate will be decided November 3rd when we play app state in Statesboro.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday!

Birthday Weekend ... 25+4 = 29 (yikes)
Happy Friday Ladies and Gentlemen!! Sorry I haven't updated in the past week or so but its been a crazy week and I've picked up my first cold of the year. Hope that the first week of October is treating everyone well. The temperate is kind of dropping (finally) and we are in the middle of football season.
So last Thursday was my birthday (i am almost not a 20-something anymore) and we celebrated all weekend long. Bryan planned a weekend trip for me in Atlanta. We went out to dinner in Athens on Thursday night just the two of us. We went to the little Italian restaurant and then hung out at the house for the rest of the night. On Friday we went to my parents house and had lunch with them and my brother. (yes we totally ate our way around Atlanta this weekend). After lunch we made our way down to Atlantic Station.
Which if your not from the Atlanta area it is Atlanta's attempt to build a city within a city. There is a Publix, Dillards, Ikea, all different types of retail stores, dinning, and a hotel (which is where we stayed). For living around the Atlantic Station area there are condos single family homes, town homes and apartments. All from the price range from first time home-buyers to OMG really!
We stayed at twelve the hotel on the Atlantic Station property in a two room suite with my best friend Ellen and her husband John. The hotel room was beautiful, the boys did good as Ellen and I told our mom's. We were in perfect walking distance to everything that we wanted to do and planned on eating. On Friday night after Ellen and John made their way to the hotel we ate at Chow Baby in Atlanta. I had never been there but it was a Mongolian BBQ where you pick your vegetables, meat and sauce and the chef cook's on a huge wok looking thing and then they bring it to you. It is all you can eat, which one plate was more then enough for us all. I would love to go back there and go when it is not so busy.
On Saturday we all went to lunch. Ellen and I dropped off the boys off at "adult daycare" aka the bar and went shopping for new dresses and shoes for my "birthday dinner" on Saturday. The boys met a great bartender and he made Ellen and I our favorite drinks that we had in Costa Rica. It was like drinking Costa Rica in a glass! It was perfect!

For dinner on Saturday we went to Strip which is also in Atlantic Station. The four of us met up with Kelly and my GSU friends for dinner. We had so much fun and the food was really good. Ellen and I shared a seafood platter and oysters on the 1/2 shell. But the best part was the "Birthday Pie!" Birthday Pie your saying, yes I received a birthday pie from the restaurant. Poor Bryan had ordered a cake with white chocolate and strawberries for me and the restaurant accidentally brought out an apple pie! They put candles on it and sung happy birthday also! And Bryan bless his heart was turning bright red when he realized that it was not a birthday cake. Well the story was, that Strip is thinking of bring pastries to the menu and the apple pie was for the owners to try later that night. The GM told us that the chef made sure everyone knew the pie was a special pie and no one was to touch it. Well after the blood simmered over Strip brought out the cake that Bryan had ordered. So in other words I had my cake and eat it too! I think that Bryan was more embarrassed then anything that it did not come out first. Oh well the "pie" jokes were pretty funny also.
Next year I'm turning the "Dirty Thirty" and we will be celebrating on my last before 30 bucket-list place I need to go New Orleans. It will be a joint celebration with Jen and I who will be turning 30 exactly 2 months after me. We plan on blowing our twenty's away and welcoming our 30's with open arms and hurricanes on the streets of the french quarter!
This weekend is #woffordweek and Kelly is on her way down to the house and we will be having a girls weekend cooking and baking and going to the Georgia Southern game. Hopefully we come back on Sunday with a Victory a belly full of good tailgating food and a Statesboro sun tan!
Have a great weekend y'all!

Weekend Update - UGA vs UT 9.29.12
Happy Monday Y'all! Actually I am going to brag and today is my Tuesday. I have Friday off for my birthday. And I can not believe that today is October 1st. Where the heck has the year gone!
view from our season tickets |
This weekend Bryan and I finally used our UGA season tickets. This is my first game of the season and this is his second game of the season. I had a hard time not being at the GSU game but we went with my co-workers (6/8 of us were at the game) and we celebrated a life event for one of them. It was a weekend of go go go!
The game was by no means a blow-out which I thought it may of been. Bryan and I had such a good time. I secretly can not wait until we go to the GSU vs UGA and GT vs UGA in November. Other then the football game we went and looked at Jeeps (since it was on a Sunday and I hate car dealers) and watched the Falcons and Braves. I have to say all in all it was a nice but busy weekend.

The Month of September 2012
Happy Wednesday Y'all. Let me tell you I am so glad that the week not wait this month is almost over!! It has been the busy month of my life, at lease it seams that way. I know I have neglected my blog this past month so I am going to attempt to recap everything that has gone on so I do not have to do a make up post for the past 26 days.
September 1st - 3rd - Labor Day Weekend - It was the opening of the college football season and Bryan and I went down to the Georgia Southern game and tailgated with all of our wonderful Southern friends. It was wicked hot and that day reminded me why we do not usually go to Labor Day weekend games. I came home with a typical Southern sunburn (sunglasses/sleeve burn). The for the rest of the weekend we spend on the lake with my mom and dad and some of our lake friends. Nice and relaxing Sunday and Monday
September 7th and 9th - Bryan and I went car shopping.... enough said!!!!! (still have not bought anything but at lease we have narrowed it down to a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited) We went to a few dealerships looked at cars, schmoozed by the salesman. It was horrible and exhausting!
September 14-16th - Bryan had military drill this weekend and I went home to Atlanta to have a girls weekend with my mom! But first I ran my first 5K. It was for the Nephcure 5k in Atlanta, which the past few months a very good friend and sorority sister of mine has been diagnosed with FSGS stage 4. (so please say prayer for her if you read this). We had a great team of friends, family and sorority sisters out there for Team Kimberly!! After the 5K my mom and I went dress shopping and had a girls day ITP in Atlanta. I think it was exactly what we needed together!
September 21-23 - Bryan and I were a house divided this weekend. I went to the GSU game for our first home SOCON game and he went to the UGA game with TJ for their first home SEC game. We both had fun at our schools game, but it was great to spend the Sunday with him watching the Falcons and relaxing.
Now it is the last Wednesday of the month and I am waiting for the new season of Criminal Minds to start. Hope everyone September is going great and I hope that the rest of the year slows down. I am not ready for 2013!!

Show & Tell: Stuck on an Island
Happy Monday Y'all. I am still shifting through what has happen this past weekend for an up-date and I think I got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, so I need something that may brighten my day. I am going to link up with From Mrs. to Mama today. I saw a few of the blogs that I follow participate so I am jumping ship.
1. Tell us, if you could only take 5 people with you to a deserted island, who would it be, and why?
- My Mom: She would know how to cook anything that we may want to eat. And she is pretty craft with directions and she would keep my second person in line also.
- My Dad: He would be able to build us a kick-ass house like in Swiss-Family Robinson and then able to fix anything that breaks
- Bryan: He can by my dads gopher; and they get along so they would have man time together.
- Ellen/John: my bff rose and husband, she would keep me company and sane from being stuck on an island and she is a great Gardner for vegetables and such. Then John would make sure we had Internet for long nights in our great tree house my dad would build
- Luke Bryan: He would be able to shake it for the catfish in the stream and squirrels in the trees.
Im not that picky. I think this one would be great. And maybe if one of my fancy friends ever stuck it rich and had a private place they would be able to come and visit me!
3. Tell us, if you could only bring 3 items with you, what would those items be. And why?
- My Camera:
- Unlimited amount of sunscreen
- My Macbook (hoping to have Internet b/c that is why I am bring John)
Paulson Stadium - GSU football, my favorite place in the world and where many of my favorite memories happen and take place |
Kelly, Me and Ellen - Halloween 2011 (the night Bryan asked me out) |
5. Tell us what you envision life would be like on that island. Do you think you would go into survival mode? Would you be like those Survivor people and eat bugs? What qualities do you possess that would help you survive. Do share.
I really think that life would be very Swiss family Robinson. I think I would freak out for a few days and then when I realized that me and the six people I brought all have different qualities I think we would be fine. I would be a bug eater, because i would not be able to eat the people I brought. I don't think that I have any real strong qualities that would help me survive. I am not that physically strong but I am sure that if I had to do something I would put my best foot forward. I was more or less looking at it as a vacation away from reality with my favorite people drinking coconut milk and listening to Luke Bryan sing!
Hope you enjoy reading. I promise I will be updating with everything that has gone on the past few weeks sometime this week. Georgia Southern football is going great and I can not wait to go to the UGA vs UT game this weekend.

Its been one of those day!
It has honestly been one of those days, nothing new or good to write about. To get me through the crazy days at work I have been listening a lot to my favorite artist Matt Nathanson. I think I may of listen to this I Saw at lease 4 times today. It is my favorite song of all time of his. This one song was my theme song my in 2005 after Matt and I broke up. I think that my roommates and anyone who rode in my car had to listen to it. I love this song and I hope ever one gives it a listen.
Hopefully the rest of the week slows down so that I can finally catch up with some football blogs and my first 5K that I ran last weekend.

If I had a Million Dollars (or more)....
So this morning after getting Bryan off to work at 5am I couldn't fall back asleep. I ended up laying in bed, listening to the loud crickets chirping in my backyard of a jungle and thinking "damn it would be nice to win the lottery". Then I got to thinking about that show I have seen about people who go broke after winning the "JACKPOT". Immediately thought that would never be me and how dumb can you be to go broke after winning 500+million dollars and I would still work (because I know myself and would be bored) and with my paycheck have the boss-man donate it to the local boys and girls club and or food bank in town, because hopefully I would not need it!
Then I thought: what would I do if I
won 250 million:
- Put more 150 million of it in savings, for the next 10 generations of family members that may be off-spring to me (god willing)
- 50 million give to local organizations and St. Jude, Catholic Charities and anything that has to do with helping children get better from life changing illness.
- now that leaves me with 50 million to play with!!
- Pay off my house that I live in now and up-grade to a 4 bedroom 4 bathroom house (nothing extravagant just maybe family ready)
- Buy a new car for me. Poor Justin would have to leave or just get a separate garage for him to stay cool in
- Buy a new truck for Bryan: exactly what he wants, it doesn’t matter as long as he is in his “price range”
- Pay off my brothers house and car and of course throw him a little cash too
- Give my parents money to play with: I mean hell they don’t have any debt themselves and they put my brother and I through college for 6 years each without us having to take out any loans.... they deserve some play money
- GO ON A FAMILY VACATION!!
- For my closest friends: Give them a million(ish) dollars, they can either pay off their school loans, buy or pay off their houses and or save it for a rainy day.
- For another one of my very good friends: pay off all her medical bills and then some (1 million+ and counting).
- With anything left in that 50 million set it aside for a “rainy day” or donate more to local area
I am sure that my there are way more things that I would like to do.
But the biggest is to make sure that my and my family and future generations are
set up so that they do not have to worry about money or college in the future.
I am sure that some more things would be bought besides a new house and car, but
those are the most important items. I am so blessed to have my job, not in
debt, and a loving family it already feels like I have won the jack-pot. I guess I can either keep dreaming or actually go out and buy a few tickets when the jackpot gets that large.
What would you do with your lottery winnings?!
GO BIG OR GO HOME!

9.11.01 - Never Forgotten, Always Remembered
Today is the 11th anniversary of September 11th 2001. Us 20-somethings were in our first year in college to middle school when we were sitting in the class room learning about what had happen in New York, DC and PA. As we asked our parents where they were when Kennedy was Assassinated, and our grandparents where they were when Pearl Harbor was bombed, our children will ask us where we were 9.11.01.
I remember as if it was yesterday. I had actually just flew the weekend before, we got home the 9th from my cousin's wedding in Colorado. I was a Senior in High School. We we sitting in 2nd period, I was in Spanish class and I remember the principal came over the loud speaker with the "teacher code" to check their e-mails. It was an e-mail saying that a plane had crashed into the towers. Ms. Weber (my spanish teacher) then turned on the TV and we had watched the 2nd plane crash into the second tower right before the bell rung to go into 3rd period, which was my lunch/homeroom hour.
I hadn't yet made it to my 3rd period class before Coach Hudson pulled me a side and asked if my mother had been working. Not even thinking about she had been flying that day. She then asked if I wanted to call my dad and talk to him. (just so you know my background, my mom worked for United and was flying DC/NY to SAN/FRAN to LAX) back then.) I guess it did not even occur to me that the planes may of been a United flight. I just remember watching the towers being hit thinking, Oh My God, I can't believe I am watching what is going to change the history books forever. By now I am a little freaked out about my mom. Coach and I found my brother, who was a Sophomore, and the office had called our dad at work to see if he had known anything about my mom. I remember them putting my dad on speaker phone in the office and him telling James and I that he did not know where she was, but she was leaving from NY to San Francisco. He did not know what her flight number was or what time it had taken off in NY. He said that he was on it and United knows we are looking for her and for us to try and make it through school and make it through the day. She was not on the flight that had crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, but she was on the flight that left 25 mins before that flight did. Her flight had made an emergency landing, since the FAA had grounded all flights right away. For the rest of the day, we had our eyes glued to the TV's. Parents came and picked up students, counselors were at the school to talk to students who needed help taking it all in. I think it was around the middle of the day the chorus sang God Bless America over the loud speaker. After going home, we were all glued to the TV for hours, days, even weeks. I just remember that was all they showed, even MTV had a 24-hour camera on ground zero. I didn't go to school the next day, but I did go the next few days because I thought that it would clear my mom with not knowing where my mom was. We had friends and family calling, bring food over to my dad for us and my dad was only thinking the worse after not hearing from her for days.
Needless to say it took about 2-3 days to find my mom and where she was. United of course was blindsided by what had happen and was doing the best they could to help families who were looking for loved ones and employes. She was in Austin and did not have a way to get a hold of us. She said that no one know what to do in the company. People were trying to call and were not going through and this was before we had national coverage on our cell phones. She finally made it back to home after a week or so. She did know a few flight attendant's that were on that flight. She said that they were all staying in the same hotel that night and all went out to drinks and had planned to do it the next week they were in NYC just to catch up with each other. She did say she was a little nervous to go back to work a week after it happen, but she knew that the Airlines and TSA were using the right force and that she felt safe. I still feel that if anyone wanted to plan a attack on US soil all the precautions are not going to stop them and that our Nation is going a great jobs since the attacks of keeping out air-space clear and safe.
I know many people who's lives had changed due to 9-11. Many men and women joined the arm forces because of this date and many lost their lives fighting for our freedom. Besides remember the men and women who died in the terror attacks September 11th 2001, we should also remember the men and women who lost their lives protecting our freedom everyday and after the attacks, not just on anniversary of dates. Please take time and say "thank you" to your local police, fire and emt's and of course any service man or women and most important veterans young and old.
GOD BLESS AMERICA and ALWAYS REMEMBER!

Social Sunday Week 13
Happy Sunday Y'all,
I am finally home on a Sunday and able to participate in one of my favorite link-ups with Ashley and Neely. This week we are remembering the summer of 2012. I can not believe that the summer season is over. Oh and for all you pumpkin spice Starbuck's lovers, some stores are already have the syrup and serving them, I got my first one Saturday on our way to the Georgia Southern game. I guess that means fall is in the air!
I hope that everyone has a safe rest of the long weekend and enjoys the last weekend of summer and the first weekend of college football.

What was your favorite trip/vacation/activity this summer?
This summer my favorite trip was when Bryan and I went to the Georgia Aquarium for his birthday. We also spent a lot of time at the lake with friends and family.
Favorite outfit look of the summer/clothing item?
I love floral patterns and fresh light colors for clothing picks.
What is one thing you wish you had gotten to do this summer?
Gone on a vacation out of the Southeast and made it to the beach. Bryan and I tried to get away but was not able to make it out town for busy weekends and unfortunately personal reason. Hopefully our mini-vacation in November will be great!
Favorite Song of the Summer?
Like every other person that lives on the lake "Pontoon" by Little Big Town.
Eric Church: Springsteen
and of course
Justin Bieber: Girlfriend
Everyone knows when these songs come on the radio, I have to stop everything and listen, sing and dance to the song.
Favorite movie/tv show of the summer:
This summer I was addicted to TV. I did not miss an episode of True Blood, Pretty Little Liars, and watched as much of the Olympics as I could.
I hope that everyone has a safe rest of the long weekend and enjoys the last weekend of summer and the first weekend of college football.

Rivalries...
Ever since we were little we have had rivalries slammed into
our brains. Some of us have sibling
rivalries, some sports related, drink related, music, those that we learn about
in school, and on reality television.
Since, I am 100% football mindset I am going to be talking about the
sport rivalries I have learned to live with growing up in the south and or have
seen growing up since I was a child. But since we were children we were always told to do better then the others we were playing against or with and that is where I think this rivalry mentality comes to us as a society.
I have always been a huge sports fan. My whole family are huge sports fans. I grew up in Chicago in what you would call a
house divided. My mom grew up being a
Chicago White Sox fan and my dad a Chicago Cubs fan. I remember hearing my dad’s family and mom’s
family pick on each other every time they had a chance. But in the end knowing that they were family
they were always able to get along and I am sure that they all have a mutual
hate for the Green Bay Packers when it comes to football season (once again
another sports rivalry)!
But when I think rivalry I am thinking and love good ole
fashion hate. Like a Lauren and Heidi
rivalry on the Hills (yes I just compared the hills to football). Knowing what I know and what I have talked to
my friends about the one rivalry that always comes out of peoples mouth’s is Georgia
vs Florida or Auburn vs Alabama. Both
games have been played for years against each other. I have been able to go to each other these
games, in Jacksonville for UGA vs UF and I have been to Tuscaloosa for AU vs
Bama. All I can say is that both of
these games are intense and the good, bad, and ugly come out in their
fans. If you ever have a chance to ever
go to either one of these games DO IT!
You will not forget the raw emotion you will see in the players, coaches
and extreme fan’s eyes when the ball is intercepted on the other team’s goal
line or the perfect touchdown pass is thrown.
It brings goose bumps just thinking about it.
There are some people that take the rivalry thing way too
far. I know that people have a passion
for their team and their sport and that is great. But why does someone get mad when a “friend”
wants to go watching another in state team play football or watch another team
on the TV when your “team” is not playing or has finished up with their
game. These are the “fans” that I hope
that I never become. Yes, do not get me
wrong if Georgia Southern is playing a home game at 1:00 on a Saturday and UGA
is playing at 5, I do not have a problem watching or listening to the
game. I am going to cheer for UGA as
long as they are not playing Georgia Southern it’s because they play and live
in the state that I live in. But some
people cannot take remove football while watching their team to sitting down
and watching a “good game”.
It blows my
mind that people cannot separate their hate for another team to sit-down and
watch another game. These are the same people that follow these late teen early
20-somethings players on twitter and wither praise them when they do good for
their school and or bash the hell out of them when they miss a catch or drop a
handoff. They are college age men! They do not deserve what some of these fans
say to them!
Tomorrow starts the final countdown to college
football. Many teams are in the “x
amount of hours until their game starts,” me I am still 1 day and 4 hours. But we have been celebrating and chatting
about college football all day today. I
hope that everyone enjoys their teams game this week and can sit-down, relax
and watch another “good game” that is not their teams and appreciate what these
players, coached and staff all go through to get ready to entertain us.
GATA EAGLES!! CAN’T
WAIT UNTIL 6pm Saturday!
