Is that Normal?! {v.5}

This Tuesday I am linking up with Chalk in the Rain  with her "Is That Normal" link up.  Some of these questions are great.  I am glad that I am not the only one that thinks some of these things are normal and not normal.

 1.  Is it normal to live with your parents past the age of 24?
Heck no it is not normal.  Get a job, finish school, and be an adult. i don't care if you think that waiting tables is beneath you, you are a grown-up.  The only time it is alright to live with a parent and or parent is a horrible circumstance like an illness to either you and or a family member and care is being given and or received.  But those people who are still living with mom and or dad after the age of 30, that is a other rant/shaking to the person.

2. Is it normal to leave your house and/or car unlocked?
I think this depends on where you live and your neighbors/co-workers are.  What we like to call "lake-life" we do not lock our doors when we go out on the boat and or when were on the dock.  Hell, we leave stuff (life jackets, towels, boat and jet-ski covers) out all weekend on the dock and then put it away on Sunday night.  I actually have a neighbor who does not have a house on their property and they keep a grill on their land.  It is just an unspoken rule living on the lake.  But when I am at my normal house I lock the door every day when I go to work and go to sleep.  The rest of the time it is usually unlocked unless I am napping.

3. Is it normal to prefer using a men's razor instead of a women's?
This is more the normal!  I don't know any women that uses a women's razor anymore, unless it is provided to their from a hotel and or girl friend.

4.  Is it normal to go back to bed right after showering for a quick nap?
This one is a coin toss.  Usually once I am up, I am up, especially if I showered.  I am totally one of those people the water wakes me up!

5. Is it normal to eat chocolate chips straight from the bag?
Yes of course this is normal.  especially when cooking.  I still want to lick the spatula and or beaters when making cookies and or brownies.

6. Is it normal to check behind the shower curtain or under the bed before you get in?
I keep my shower curtain close all the time, in both of my bathrooms.  And checking under the bed, if someone can fit under my bed with all the shoes and purses underneath they deserve an award from getting under there and fitting!

7. Is it normal to talk to yourself?
Yes of course it is.  Who doesn't talk themselves.  If you don't your the one that is not normal.  To be honest with you, I answer myself regularly also.
 8. Is it normal to bite your nails?
Not really sure.  I bite my nails, especially when I am nervous and when they are not polished up.  Having nail polish is my anti-bit for my nails.

9. Is it normal to go to bed without brushing your teeth?
No, not normal!  Who doesn't brush their teeth before going to bed. Brush your teeth and think about the day you just had or the day your going to tackle the next day.  Brushing my teeth is my meditation time, since you can not talk to anyone why brushing. It's a good habit that everyone should par-take in every night.

10. Is it normal to "baby talk" your pet?
I do not have any pets so I have no idea.  But my friends that do have pets, most of them talk to their pets in a normal tone of voice unless the pet is in trouble.

What do you think is NORMAL!?

Weekend Wrap-up

Good Monday Everyone!

This past weekend we (my family, friends and I) celebrated the 4th of July! But first on Friday, I drove up to Athens for the evening to see Bryan. We went out to Mexican did a little shopping, went out for Froyo at Menchies and then went to campus (UGA) to look for our football seats for next season (which I am kind of excited about).

Saturday morning we dropped off Justin Timberlake (my car (Honda civic)) to get painted. It will finally look like a normal car without all the peeling. (i had my car custom painted when i bought it new while in college) I can not wait to pick up JT and I will not be ashamed of driving him. And then the next improvement to JT is a new CD player with Bluetooth and AUX plug. Yes, I guess I will be keeping my car for the next two years since I do not know what I want I want buy next, a smaller SUV and or a sedan.

After we dropped off JT we went down to the lake to celebrate the fourth! We went on the boat, had some drinks, grilled out, watched baseball and watched fireworks in the Milledgeville Kmart parking lot. Milledgeville put on a great fireworks show and a great way to end a nice and relaxing day.

On Sunday we got up and went back to the lake and had an adventure in the lake! No pun intended. We went out to our favorite swimming hole on Lake Sinclair and after about an hour or two of swimming we decided it was time to go back to the house. Well we got the anchor up and everyone on board and the motor would not start. It was not. good sign, since this is the second time it has happen. Our neighbor had to come and tow us in to our dock and hopefully we will have the boat fixed for next weekend. Well once we got home a pop-up storm came up with lots of thunder and lighting and more or less poured all night long. Bryan and I got home and we watched True Blood and some of the Olympic Trials.

It was such a good weekend with friends and family and I cannot wait to pick I JT on Saturday!! But what breaks my heart is that we are almost half way done with summer. I love weekends on the lake and being with my family. But on the upside that means the fall will be here soon and so will college football!

Happy Monday!

Sunday Social Week 4

Sunday Social

Hey Everyone!  Happy First day of July.  Hope everyone is having a great weekend and is staying cool with the heat most of the US is having to deal with!  This Sunday I am linking up with http://www.acompletewasteofmakeup.com/ for her Sunday Social.  This week she asked fashion questions.  And of course like most girls I love looking at all the magazines and run-way shows and thinking 1) I wish I could look that good in a dress like that 2) I wonder how much that dress/outfit cost and maybe one day I will be able to afford it!!

What is your favorite store to shop at?
Either Macy's and or Belk (southern simple style)
I like to think of myself as pretty down to earth when it comes to my style.  I work with all men so out work dress code is pretty low key.  On the weekends I like to try ad dress it up a little more then some people in my area.  But do not get me wrong, if Bryan and I are just hanging out at the house a good pair of jeans and a t-shirt are just perfect!

If you could afford anything and everything, which designer brand would you covet?
Chanel:  such a classic designer for so many years.  Everything that is designed by the Chanel fashion house will always be in style for years to come.  From their classic black sunglasses to the black quilted purse to Chanel No 5.  Chanel will always be a classic brand for years to come.  I will always covet my Vintage Chanel purse and pearls that my grandmother left me when she passed almost ten years ago.

Must have closet staple?
First a great pair of jeans.  A pair of jeans that allow you to move and be comfortable if you are sitting down all day watching a movie or football at the bar to going out shopping with your girls and lots of moving around.  Second:  a wonderful purse.   It doesn't mater what brand, color, and or style.  Something that is your personality and you can make sure you can work it wherever you are.

Favorite kind of shoes (brand or type)
Casual:  Men and or Women top sider Sperrys.  I have been wearing Sperrys since I was on a baby.  If you every go to my parents house you will see my dad has 2-3 pairs, mom a pair or two and my brother and I a pair also.  Sperrys have always been a part of our family.  Now I have Bryan wearing them also.  He has accumulated two pairs of Sperrys, top siders and also sandals.  And for me and great pair of flip-flops.  I love my sperry flops but I am in love with my Rainbow flops.  They are some of the most comfortable flops that I own and I feel that they last for years.  I have had the same pair for almost 4 years and wear them every day after work and or on weekends.  I would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a great leather flop.

Best clothing deal you've ever gotten? (sale or amazing find)
The rehearsal dress I bought for my best friends wedding.   It was a purple Jessica McClintock dress that I found in a small boutique store in Athens, GA.  I had been in search for a dark color dress all summer long for Ellen's Wedding.  It was originally marked for $350.00 and since it was last fall's it was marked 75% off.  Since it was just a plain purple dress I had it custom beaded around the neck line for a little detail.  With the custom beading and dyed flats I ended up leaving the store with $150.00 total.  I still smile thinking of the deal that I got for one of the most important day of my best friends life.

Style you'd love to try?
1) couture dresses - they all look so wonderful on the models but I do not think they will ever look good on me especially a wedding dress!
2) Scarf's.  When I see all the celebrities wearing them I always think wow, thats wicked cute.  But when I try and tie mine up like theirs it never looks as cute as it should
3) Hat.  I do not care what kind of hat it is.  Hats look awful on me.  I wish I was able to throw on a hat, put my hair up and it look cute!!

This was such a fun link up!  I cant wait to do next week's especially since it is about TV and I have plenty of guilty pleasures when it comes to TV and Reality TV!

Have a good Sunday Everyone!  Be Safe this Fourth of July Week!

Weather and annoyance!

Guess what?!?
It's hot everywhere in the United States, especially in the South! But taking a photo of your car thermometer and or a screen shot of your phone's weather app is not going to make it any cooler. For all you people posting photos, I am sure you were also bitching when it was "cold" in the south. Stop complaining and taking useless photos and blowing up my timeline. It's the summer. You asked for it in January and now its kicking your butt in June!! It's going to get hot when the earth is closest to the sun or you can blame Al Gore and his "global warming theory" if you believe in that! When you start complaining about the cold next winter I will make sure I remind you all about the 104* weather July 4th weekend 2012!

Enjoy the weekend and the heat!

Coast to Coast

Whispering Sweet Nothings

So I was playing on blogger this evening and found a great idea through this blog (attempting my first link in a blog) and trying to connect with other people your area that may also blog.  I was checking out the "pin-point" map and realized that five bloggers in state of Georgia that follow that one particular blog and hopefully I will be the sixth on her map.

After reading so many blogs about all the wonderful people bloggers have met through travels and or just became friends by reading each others life stories, I thought wow I wish I knew more people in my area that blogged.  My friend Bridget was the one that peaked my interest in blogging last summer when she told me about meet-up and swaps she does with some of the girls.  It took me about four more months after her and I talking about the whole blogging process to actually sit down, create one, and post my first "blog".  I am hoping that maybe I will be able to participate in swaps, meet-ups and or anything else a "blogging family" may do.

Hope my three post today have not bored people to death!!
